How much would you charge for a black forest cake in shape of a globe?

How about for the simpler black forest cake. Im thinking 25 for the simple black forest, 30 if its in shape of a globe with decorations. What do you all think?

O.K. Let me add my cheap 2 cents here. And I am going to aplogize ahead of time for being so outspoken. Why would you charge less than what one would pay for a dessert in a restaurant? You should charge at least $2.00 a serving! You must put a higher value on yourself and your work!!! Don't pay yourself minimum wage. This joy that we get out of baking and decorating is also work. Again, my apologies.

Hahaha. I agree. I recently started and offered my services for free. After a horrible experience with a bride I have to make a cake for for free I decided that although I am beginning I will start charging the price I think is fair and matches my product. I am just not sure of what the price would be. I am going to call some bakeries and ask.....

Thanks for the inputs!

Ok one bakery quoted me 55-60 for a half sheet black forest and another 39 for a half sheet and 37 for a 12' w/o any fancy decorations. This girl wants a cake w. design of a globe and she is a friend so Im thinking I can charge her about 35 dollars. What do you guys think? When I called these bakeries I went yaaawwwwowwwwww that's expensive!

Hmmm, I guess I'm not understanding what size your cake is that you are making?

Lady. Its a cake that needs to feed 30 people. I was thinking of either a half sheet or a 10 inch round or 12 inch round. I figure any of these options will feed 30 and will likely cost around the same. This is why I posted here: because I have no idea what is going ons.

OH...gottcha
1/4 sheet will fee 30-40 and I would charge $40 or a 10" would serve 23-34 and I would charge $40 for that as well. A 12" round would serve 36-48 and I would charge $50 for that.

Do you mean a real Black Forest cake? If so, you won't be able to make it in the shape of a globe. The cake and cream are much too soft for that.

I think the bakery prices sound correct. That's how much I would charge.
