I had the same problem for a while, wish I could help, my DH actually fixed mine just don't know how and he's out of town for at least another week. (but it all happened when he blocked CC: but that's a different thread from months ago--he had to fix it for me)
I had that problem forever and then I finally figured out that the pic was too big. If you look in the help section http://www.cakecentral.com/help.php?faq_id=1&category_id=1
It says pics can't be bigger than like 2 MB and mine would be like 2.5 and that was the problem. I made them a little smaller and it worked great, good luck!
