Best/easiest Way To Frost Tea Cups W/ Bc? No Star Tip.

I am planning on making quite a few "tea cups" in the next few weeks, and am looking for the quickest yet good looking way to frost the "cups" with BC. I am going to be making the cups out of the mini- ball pan with fondant handle and saucer. I do not want to decorate the cup with star tip or fondant. Any ideas? Thanks.
You might try applying it to the cup with a 10 tip, zig-zagging up and down around the cup and then smooth. I did this last time on the sides of a round cake, smoothed with my metal spatula and then used the melvira method. (which I LOVE- Thanks Melvira!)
As it turned out, I did not have to make any, but went ahead and practiced. I did the viva method, did not really need the roller (I think the cup was too small). I liked it, it worked, and I will use that method if they ever reschedule. Thanks again for the suggestions, and help.

You just frost as usual, allow the icing to crust, then use a dry VIVA paper towel to gently rub over the icing.... it does WONDERS ! The towel is smooth and flexible so it is really easy.....
Thanks. That's different than what I thought it was. I thought you frost, crust, put the dry Viva towel over it and "ironed" with a fondant smoother. I've seen that done too and called the Viva method.
Cool! I know I've used patterned paper towels with Melvira's roller for a cool effect on crusted buttercream and that got it smoother and left a better imprint of the paper towel design.
