I am making a cake and I want to make a bandana out of fondant. However, I am curious how do you get the "bandana" print on it? Freehand it or does anyone have a pattern/template???? Should I pipe it or get the food writers? PLEASE HELP!

I'm making a cake this weekend with a bandanna layer, too. I've got a napkin it's supposed to coordinate with, and I'm just plannign to free-hand pipe it once I've got the layer covered in red fondant. If you do a search for "cowboy" in the gallery you should find a few examples to get some ideas.
