How Do You Color Piping Gel?

I'm trying to match the piping gel to the pink of my buttercream. Do I just use the same color? Do I have to do anything different since it is clear and the bc starts out white?

the same way you color bc....the only difference is just that....it's clear....so you're not going to get the exact same kinds of shades you would get with a white bc.
