OK, so my bf loves the Phillies and for his bday I was thinking of doing a Phillies jersey, but with a twist... make it look like a woman is wearing it and there's cleavage. Should I then make then make the cake the torso and frost as normal with the boobs, then do the jersey as fondant? I haven't had that much work with fondant so I am not sure how I could decorate it and cut it to fit the cake so it looks ok. Can I do a BCT on it for the logo on the jersey? I was also thinking of making little fondant nipples so you can see the bumps of them thru the shirt... optical illusion...lol!
Help guys! I know you will make me feel better about this. And if any of you can find a pic of something like it or sketch or something, pass it my way please. Thanx!

I can't help too much but what came to my mind was this, Make the cake in the shape of a torso. Use 2 cupcakes for the "busoms". Frost the whole thing in a flesh toned BC. Use the fondant just for the jersey, cutting it out just like the cakes shape just not covering the top and cleavage area. Once you have that part down, decorate it however the jersey is decorated. You can actually paint the logo right onto the fondant. I like the idea with the fondant "ahem" nurples. LOL
Very cute idea, Good Luck.

I really like the idea of a BCFT for the logo, but I don't know if I would have to do it in 2 sections if I have the shirt open too low. But then I would have to wait til I laid the fondant down to see if I would have to do it that way... how long does it take for a BCFT to dry so you can apply it to the cake?

an fbct is usually good by about an hour....I freeze larger ones for longer periods of time, after I cover them, so they wont get freezer burnt, etc.

BCFT will take about an hour or so to firm up enough to handle. I did a bosom cake for hubby for valentines in a heart shape and used the sports ball pan. I covered the cake in buttercream then only covered the part that showed in flesh coloured fondant. I then put the corset on it. That way you don't have too much fondant on the cake. I think the fondant gives it a smoother look.

So I would make a sheet cake and carve to make a curvature and put what ever size of cake on top for the chest(trying to keep this clean), put icing on all the cake and cover the top portion in flesh coloured fondant.. Make the jersey and put it on then put the transfer on it. If you make the transfer first it should be ready by the time your done.

that's what I was thinking to make the chest smoother... cover whatever is gonna show in the flesh colored fondant then do the jersey in fondant... that way too if someone doesn't like fondant it will be easier to get a piece with none on it or peal it off.
I also thought about the logo... if I have to I can just put it a little lower on the jersey so you can still see it... doesn't have to be a perfect jersey replica.

I don't think anyone's said this but I just skimmed..... anyway, there's a cake just like what you're talking about on cindascreativecakes.com. I remembered seeing it the other week. Just go to the photo gallery, click on Sports, and its on the last page. Funny!

I think making the logo lower will look good; it will be like she is wearing an XL shirt or something
