Where do you get your gumpaste? Has anyone tried Wilton's? Does it store well? Thanks icon_smile.gif

The ready made Wilton gum paste is actually not that bad--pretty easy to work with. It is just a pain trying to get it out of that silly pouch. I also like Satin Ice gum paste and it is actually my preference out of the two.

I normally make my own but I also use the Wilton kind and I totally agree with missyek, that stupid pouch needs to be bigger. icon_mad.gif

I buy Wilton at Michaels with the coupons. No problem storing it in the resealable bag it comes in.

Wiltons is readily available and easy to use, once you dig it out of the pouch. I do prefer satin ice, and i will make it from scratch when i need a dark color

I've used Wilton's and am very happy to hear ya'll like the Satin Ice brand - I just ordered some online!
Didn't have ANY problems with the Wilton - just wanted to try another brand.

I also use wilton and gave up on trying to get it out of that darn bag awhile ago, now i just cut the block out.
When i go to store the left over i just use a little ziplock bag.
I've never used the Satin Ice gumpaste, I hated their fondant with a passion so I dont know if i want to try that.

Well let me ask you this about Wilton GP...I felt it through the bag at the store and it seemed really hard...is that the way it is once you take it out? Or I'm wondering if it's already kind of dried out...

Sometimes you do find some hard bags. It is good that you squeezed it first. I tend to stick with the ones that I can at least give a little squeeze through the bag--if they are too hard, I avoid them--the harder they are the harder it is to try and rip a piece out of the stupid little pouch.

My managers tend to buy mine and they know nothing at all about how my products should feel. So when I've gotten a few hard bags I was worried at first but when i just kneaded it a bit it went right on back to the same consistance as the softer bags.
