Hi I have tried to sign up for the Wilton course 3 times and each time it was cacelled and now they have no instructor at either the ACmoore or Michaels near me.
So does anyone know where I can get the books so I can teach myself OR do you know of any practice sheets that I can print off OR does someone know the lesson plan outline that they would be willing to share with me? I am so frustrated.
Thank you VERY much for reading my rant.
You can get the course book from any of those stores. The directions are pretty good and you should be able to teach yourself many of the techniques effectively. Also someone posted a website yesterday called www.bakedecoratecelebrate.com. I think it is wilton sponsored as well and they have basic techniques there. Also www.wilton.com has information on basic piping techniques as well.
edited to say: Sorry, I know you must be frustrated! I hope you can find a class soon! I ended up teaching myself a lot of techniques, but i have now completed all of the courses.
Thank you Merissa, I didn't even *think* about getting the book in those stores LOL sometimes frustration can blind you. I did look through that site yesterday BUT I don't want to have to print the site out in order to take the tips to the kitchen because I think that would cost more in the long run.
Thank you.
Hope you are able to take a class soon. I agree about buying the book - you should be able to teach yourself many things.
If these two places have canceld the class have you looked on Wilton's web site to see who else in your area might offer classes. Do you have a Joann's in your area? They offer classes as well as sell the books off the shelf. Good luck to you and have fun!
Nancy
Don't forget half.com which is associated with Ebay, and Amazon marketplace which is Amazons used books. They both usually have good pricing and shipping is $3.49 with discounts if you buy another book from the same person.
Michaels does not sell the books in store. I'm not sure if AC Moore does or not, but you can check with them.
As was suggested you can usually find them on Ebay. ![]()
