I keep losing my decorating tips down the GARBAGE DISPOSAL!!!! This is now the second one in as many weeks that I have munched up in the garbage disposal. How do y'all wash your tips? The bad thing is that I knew I dropped it into that side of the sink but then forgot all about it and it must have slipped down icon_cry.gif I'm going to have to start keeping a list of replacements I need to get!

Thanks for any help you can give me icon_smile.gif

I put all of mine in a small bowl by the sink and wash them all at once. My DH isn't allowed to wash them as 2 were lost to the garbage disposal in the last month. I'm definately going to look for something to put them in so they can go in the dishwasher.

I run mine under a hot tap and then throw it straight into the dishwasher cutlery section. As long as there is a fork or two in with it, it won't fall out.

I also put mine all in a small bowl and wash them all together with a tip brush and get them out of the sink as soon as possible.

I put mine in the dishwasher either in the basket with all of the sippy cup parts or in the cutlery basket.

I wash mine in the dishwasher. I also have small mesh baskets that fit on the drains of my sink. They catch food from going in the wrong drain and small things from falling in the garbage disposal. I think they came from the Dollar Store or Walmart.

if I could take this a step further - I have started using baby wipes to clean off mixing bowls, mixer parts and other tools that might have buttercream on them. Our house was built in 1928 and I am afraid of putting all that shortening down the drain, it isn't much that is left on these items but over time I am afraid it will clog up the pipe. Anyway - just wanted to pass on the baby wipes tip - works like a charm

I have a mesh strainer that is covering the drain at all times. They're only a couple of dollars, last forever and have never lost a tip. When I wash tips, they're tossed into a large bowl of hot soapy water, left to soak while I finish up and then it's a breeze to clean them. Quick, easy and no lost tips!!!
