icon_biggrin.gificon_eek.gificon_confused.gif Okay, a friend of mine called me today and told me that there is going to be a huge flea market/bake sale at a local church close to me. She told me that the spaces are renting for $15/ for a 20x20 space. I thought that was quite reasonable.......and she said your goodies would do well at something like this...... icon_eek.gificon_surprised.gificon_lol.gif
I would like to make a little money and see what happens....at the very worst, my neighbors would love me! (if I did not sell it all, lol.......) icon_smile.gif
Now in your opinions, what would sell well? I think I am going to do it....it's THIS SATURDAY! It would begin at 6 am -12 noon......doesn't give me much time. But if I want to get the 'word' out icon_wink.gif , I probably should do it......your ideas please! And THANKS!!!!!! icon_smile.gif

I think you should do simple rounds; maybe some squares, whatever you would charge the LEAST for; you may do a few sugar free cakes in case there are some "little old ladies" there. Individual cookies and brownies might be good, also. Good luck!

mini-cupcakes/muffins and cookies and maybe full size cupcakes too (tho' those can get messy in a child's hand..that's why I suggested mini-cupcakes)
easy and low mess -- a fast food

How about some "cutsie" cupcakes?
Or, I have sold chocolate covered pretzels and oreos at bake sale before!
They sold VERY well!!!

I would do some bundt cakes, coffee cakes or pound cakes and sell them by the slice and also make one or two very nicely decorated cakes so that everyone can see your handy work. Be sure to let us know what you decide to do and how it goes. Good luck!

My experience with bakesales and what sells are as follows:

Brownies
Cupcakes
Cookies like a good chocolate chip recipe
squares
bundt cakes no nuts!
coffee cakes

I would definitely stick with smaller items...seems to me people usually .....try things out at these bake sales.....so I would stick to cookies, and cupcakes, maybe even petit fours...another idea for something you could charge a little more for would be a cookie bouquet...people love to give them as gifts, they're cheap to make and sell really well.

I think the ideas everyone gave you. Keep in mind how warm it is for those chocolate items. Maybe you can put up some flyers and promotional stuff about mothers days gifts you are offering?
