I've googled this topic, but didn't get much helpful info. I can picture a transparent champagne color, but I can't imagine a matte champagne color for buttercream or RI. Help!

Would an ivory work? I used Americolor Ivory for the 50th wedding anniversary cake in my photos and made it dark enough that it might pass for champagne. I don't know...just a thought.

Thanks for the response. I think I got about that color. I did use some yellow, and ivory separately. Ended up mixing the two and got a color close to yours. I just couldn't picture a matte color, but easy to picture a transparent or translucent champagne color. If you want to see, it's in the bridal sample cake.

Thanks, I feel better!

Wow, you did a great job! thumbs_up.gif

The color came out great, too. I'm curious which one she chose?

She wants me to surprise her. Woohoo! I love those requests. I have no restrictions. Wedding will be May 6, I'll post after that day. Thanks for the interest.
