I had the same question about a year ago when someone asked for a sheet cake that was half yellow and half chocolate. What I did is I cut a piece of cardboard to fit down the middle to act as a divider, covered it in aluminum foil and then poured both flavors in at the same time (one on each side of course) and then pulled out the cardboard. It worked beautifully! Good luck!

What size are you doing? I usually bake 2 cakes, one of each kind, cut in half, glue with frosting and charge $5 more on the order. Then if I dont' have another order right away for a half and half cake, wrap in plastice really well, foil and freeze.
I've tried to pour both into the same pan, and it worked ok, but not as nice as baking 2.
Hope this helps.

I used to put foil in the middle to separate the batter, but now all I do is pour both the chocolate and the vanilla in at the same time. If I can , I have DH help and we just pour at the same time starting close to the back of each side and then it just meets in the middle...it's kind of magical actuallyicon_smile.gif
I hope that helps! Good luck!

You're trying to make two cake flavors in the same pan:

I would recommend using the White Almond Sour Cream cake:

as it has several variations so that the batter is pretty much the same - or else your different batters could end up being done at different times (in the same pan).
