I am really stressed out about 2 cakes that I have to make- I am rather new at this and really want to try this method as I always struggle to get smooth icing-

What icing recipe do you use to get the best results with this method?
Any exact information would be greatly appreciated! icon_smile.gif

Thanks for all your time thumbs_up.gif

buttercream dream always works great for me using the Melvira method... cause it has to be crusting.

This is my favorite icing recipe ever, and I use it the VIVA way, it smooths SO NICE! I also invested in a 'spackling knife' for $3 that helps to smooth it too. Try this recipe, it's great! The only thing I noticed with it, is that don't use margarine instead of butter, it doesn't crust as fast.

I use the same one as above, I have to say when I first tried it I was AMAZED at how easy it was and how great it works!

GOOD LUCK!

My favorite is the White as Snow Buttercream listed in Recipes...I used it with the Melvira Method of the roller and it worked perfectly!!!
