I have a question!

Do y'all always put a layer of BC on your cakes before you put the fondant on? usaribbon.gif

Thanks

Yes; it helps the fondant stick to the cake, and it is also good to have it there for people who don't necessarily like fondant; they can peel off the fondant, and still having icing with their cake!

If you do use buttercream under the fondant try chilling the cake before applying the fondant over the buttercream.. When the buttercream is chilled it's easier to smooth the fondant because it's hard. You get less dents and dimples.
