I came across this site this morning that has a lot of useful information for cake decorating! If you click into techniques, it shows you a lot of ways to decorate(rope borders, basketweave, shell borders, and some flowers). I haven't seen this link on here yet, so I thought I would post it for the new cake decorators like me=) Hope it helps someone, Jen

I think that is a wilton television show also that is aired on pbs. I hadnt seen the website though! Thanks for sharing!

I heard about that show before...my wilton instructor told me about it....i'm going to have to check it out.....the website seems very interesting. I just have to remember to watch it.

I ran across the TV show recently and taped a few episodes, but haven't watched them yet. They look a bit dated (are these being taped currently?) but it looks like it's GOOD tips for the novice (like me!) I'll be curious to hear what others have to say about this site and show!

yes they are dated. I do tivo them and fast forward through most of it. But they do actually show them making flowers which is good to get a visual if you haven't taken any classes.

Man, I wish I would have found this yesterday as at 1:30 am this morning they showed borders and shells! and I can't do shells for the life of me! LOL

I try to catch the show when I can, its always fun to watch someone do cakes icon_smile.gif Sometimes it annoys me how they do things or how the two ladies act towards eachother though, but its still cake thumbs_up.gif
