If I recall, there's a demo on the Wilton site for doing this. I hope that's where I saw it, anyway. If it's not there, I'm lost as to where else to send you, because I wander the web constantly searching for cake stuff. But...I think it was at Wilton that I saw it. Check 'em out....
there are many great "embroidered" cakes here on CC, maybe you could PM some of the creators and they could tell you a bit more in detail about how to do this technique, hth.
Is this what you were looking for. I happen to have come from there when I seen your post.

Actually it's this linkI believe

Typically you can use either a tip 2 or 3 to make your outline and then you make another outline just inside the first outline and with a damp but not dripping wet brush, you pull the inside outline in towards the center.
The reason for the inside outline is so you don't ruin the shape of your original outline!
Does that make sense?
Hope this helps.

They don't suggest adding the second line but it helps me. Some of my decorating books suggest it!!

I didn't add piping gel when I did the brushed embroidery and it worked just fine. I can't wait to do the technique again, it's so easy and looks so nice.
