My little sister is having a birthday soon, and she wants a princess cake for her birthday, but she doesn't want a disney cake. Anyone have any ideas for a non-disney princess cake? Oh yeah! she also doesn't want it to be the stand-up kind that you place a doll's head in. (I know! she's soooooooooooo picky!!!!)

Make a round or sheet cake with a tiara and wand on top. Tiara and wand could be made out of fondant and/or gumpaste.
i suggest you look around the gallery for a member named "Boween". She got a ton of fabulous cakes..I know because I've bookmarked at least 12 of them LOL.
Other than that, you could do a stacked cake with a glass slipper on top or like the previous poster said, a wand a tiara. OR if you're brave enough, make Cinderella's carraige. I know that's Disney, but its not her as a character, justpart of the movie.
