I have a possible order for a waterslide cake, and I'm stumped. It's not til June10th, so I have some time to get my idea worked out. They want a waterslide with a boy sliding down and landing in a big splash. I can start practicing the fondant boy and use piping gel or jello for the water, but how in the world would I make a waterslide? They want one that twists or is bumpy.

Using royal icing, figure pipe kids with tips 1, 2, 7 and 12. Ice the inside of two larger flower formers with royal icing and let dry.
Bake two horseshoes and position together in an "s-shape". Generously ice top blue. Add a rippled effect to resemble water. Ice sides brown, then pat with granulated brown sugar. Print tip 3 message.
Pipe bead borders-tip 7 at top, tip 12 at base. Position towers, slides and kids.

what about doing something like this cake only with the waterslide motif....you could have a couple of kids in different spots sliding down....modelled out of fondant, maybe have one with the little water wings on his arms, one with an innertube around their waist, etc. Then maybe stick the two tiers onto an oval cake and set them back even with one side, allowing the other part of the oval shape to come forward from the two tiers...and make them almost like a small pool with the Birthday boy making a splash in it!! you could maybe do some royal icing splashes sticking up out of the "water"!!!!! Maybe at the top you could make a ladder type slide thingy (as a topper) and to give the idea that it's a water slide!! Sounds like a fun cake to do...hope my ideas aren't too hard to envision, I have trouble putting it to words what I see in my head sometimes LOL
