I did this cake this weekend for my daughter's birthday. It was a huge hit. Some kids and people were stopping by to see the cake. They were very impressed with it.

the top is chocolate and the bottom is vanilla/almond cake with whipped cream icing and strawberry preserves mixed in.

Icing is buttercream a new recipe I was trying with only 1/4 cup of crisco per 3 cups of confect sugar. Didn't like it because it was too dry and cracking big time. It was tasty though.

I inserted the actual doll inside wrapped in plastic wrap.

I agree Kos. They have wonderful messages of bravery, honesty, truth, and consequences for bad actions.

It is refreshing to see this kind of themes on cartoons now-a-days...

There are a couple more coming out in May: The Barbie diaries and The 12 Princesses... icon_biggrin.gif
