Hello Molly I have this great Chocolate Almond Cheese Frosting recipe that will give you compliments on your cake and add zest to it. It yields 3-1/2 cups 12 servings and the prep time is 15 mins.
1(8ounce) cream cheese
4 tablespoon milk
4 cups of confectioners sugar
2 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup baking cocoa powder
1/4 cup of soft butter
In a bowl mix cream cheese, milk, sugar, butter, vanilla, almond extract,
cocoa powder and cinnamon add additional 2 tablespoon of milk if needed.
For darker chocolate add another 2 tablespoon of cocoa.
I guarantee you that this frosting will be a smash especially with the zest of almond extract. Not sweet, but delicious.
