I am making a cake for a baby shower on Sunday. I am pretty new at this, so every other time I have done a cake, I baked on Friday, decorated on Saturday, delivered on Sunday. But I have a commitment on Saturday. How soon can I frost a cake in BC and it still be good? Also, the cake will have fondant baby booties...How soon do I need to make those for them to be dry?

Thanks so much!

You'll be fine to bake as early as tonight and freeze-- then decorate on Friday and you'll be set. (as long as the filling isn't whipped cream or anything, you'll be fine)--

As for the fondant, I always allow as much time as possible....but at least a few days. Good luck!
