To tose of you guys who work with fresh flowers: How do you "present" your price? Do you give the customer the price of the cake plus the price of the flowers? or Add everything and give just one price? Can you give a "per serving/slice price"?
I'm in need of some input here. I took a floral arrangement design class just to be able to put the fresh flowers in my cakes, but I state in my contract that the price is only for the cake, that I could give an estimate on the flowers on request. And some peolpe think is a lot because they have to add up the cost of flowers. My husband kindda pushed me to take the flower class, and he insist that I give the customer just one price. Problem with that is I have a per slice price and with the flowers I couldn't do it b/c the cakes are different with different flowers.
Do I make any sense? Please help me resolve this issue.
I charge a price for the cake and additional money for the fresh flowers. Usually $25.00, but I do not include roses, unless they want to pay more ![]()
