Hi! I've never made a Barney cake, but my wilton instructor did, and she said she used the wilton barney pan. (available at Michaels or wherever else you can find wilton products) It is 3D like you wanted, and should have instructions on how to decorate it and the colors you'll need, etc.

Here is a 3D Barney cake made by a lady named Sylvie (Sorry can't pronounce her last name she is French) anyway she made this Barney with the 3D Cuddly bear pan.
