I must be going through a down swing. Usually I can't wait to do another cake, love to browse through any pictures of cakes, and can't wait to try new techniques. I have two cakes this coming week - and I just am not in the mood. I need a visit from the cake fairy!!!
I feel your pain. I had to do the confirmation cake that's in my pictures , last week and I just could not get into it. I think it shows in the cake too. My roses look like they were munched on by ladybugs. 
But, I think its good to take a break here and there, ya gotta take a breather!
I know meghan, if you don't feel up to par, chances are you'll make a mess and be even more unhappy.
Man, I have been going threw that too....I just finally am gettting my energy back to do some. Normally, I love posting about the topics discussed but lately I have just been hanging out reading. I also think it has alot to do with it, what is going on in your life. I have final exams for college, 2 children under the age of 2, getting laid off from work, and also in the process of buying a house. Tell me how much more can I handle GOD? lol...But hey just make a cake and eat it the frosting as you go that is what I do. Then take it somewhere will everyone will tell you how wonderful you are and the cake. Hope it helps~Melissa~
