Hello,

I would like some ideas (I am kinda running dry) for cakes and fillings. I have done the WASC w/raspberry and the cake with buttercream but I would like to expand. What are your favorite cake and filling combo's? birthday.gif

Thanks for the help!

chocolate fudge cake, apple pie filling thickened with caramel, topped with ganache, more apple pie topping and drizzeled with chopped nuts and caremel. Not as sweet as it sounds really, really yummy!!!!

I just recently make a double chocolate cake with Pleanut butter mousse filling. Was awsome!!

also, white cake with pineapple filling, was great. Just made that for my FIL's b-day this weekend. they loved it!

I don't sell cakes professionally, but one of my favourites is chocolate cake with oreo filling. I make IMBC and mix in chopped oreos - extremely yummy!
I've also filled cakes with buttercream that is mixed with seedless jam, but that is still quite sweet. I like to use ganache, as well, which is a firmer texture. I filled one once with ganache, and it hardened almost like a layer of chocolate in the middle. Even though I considered it kind of a mistake, everyone loved it!
You can also use whipping cream and instant pudding powder. Whip the cream and add in whatever flavour instant pudding powder (I think it's about half a package to a cup of cream) and it makes a thick, rich filling that's not too sweet, but it must be refrigerated.
Hope others post some of their favourites, too! I'm always wondering what other favour!

O0000HHHH love the oreo cookie cake, it is so easy also. I make my filling with tub of cool whip, sm pkg cream cheese and 12 crumbled double stuff oreos then cover with ganache. Never any left so have to make small one for midnight snacks!!!
