Just out of curiousity, I was wondering on average what yall charge for hand molded figures on cakes? Someone has askes about them on their cake & I was wondering if yall have a general price per figure or what.

I start at $5 and go up from there, depending on size, difficulty, ect...

I do give a discount if they want several, for example, on my sleepover cake. I did 5 girls from their pics to look just like the 5 girls at the party. They were all sleeping in a bed, so I did not have to mold bodies , I cahaged $20 extra for the molding, cake was $30...So $50 total...

I do not know if this helps at all...

thanks, florimboi. I guess that you're right just charge on a case to case basis. I know they are very time consuming.

I haven't charged for any of my cakes with figures, because they have all been made for friends or family, but I agree with Florimbio, I think you need to charge according to how difficult the figures are to make. For example the bunny I made for my Easter cake was very simple and didn't take long at all. However, I made a dog, firegirl, ladders and firehydrant for my neices birthday cake, they took a very long time and if I was charging, I would have definitely had to charge more.

It can get very time consuming... If I factored out how much time I spent....I would get upset. Luckly, I LOVE doing it and can do it in front of the TV....
