Well, CCers,
THe time is here. Next Saturday (April 21st) is one of the events I have been waiting on. Crisman Tablescape 2007.

Last year was the first year for this fundraiser. The school is a privately funded school for kids with learning disabilities and they have several fundraisers to help fund scholarships for these kids to get the education they need. The classrooms only have 8 kids each and it is very successful.

The school board asks individuals and businesses to decorate a table (8 guests will sit at "your" table). You pick the idea, get the decorations and supply 8 party gifts for your tableguests. Last year, I did the lighthouse theme.

This year, I have decided on "A Lone Star Night" (Texas theme). The cake will have a base component like the ICES cake last year. The 2nd tier will be blue jeans, 3rd tier will be red bandana, and the 4th tier will have a leather look. The topper (if all works out) will be a gumpaste cowboy boot with a hat and/or rope. I am hand-painting bluebonnets on the plates, and bandana napkins wrapped with leather straps and conches for the napkin ring.

THe party gifts will be a clear plastic Texas-shaped box with cake truffles and a small flower pot with hand-painted bluebonnet cookies. Sorry this is so long, but I am so excited that I was asked back. I will post pics on Saturday. Wish me luck--Pam
