I'm hoping that someone could help me with instructions on making frogs from gumpaste or fondant. I've been reviewing the gallery of all the terrific cakes and frogs that have been made and they are so good, but I can't seem to figure it out.

I've been asked to make a baby shower cake with a frog theme and hoped someone could help me. I appreciate your help..

I'm not sure how to make them out of gum paste but I made one out of cake using the Wilton mini bear pan. I will post it in just a minute. It's a frog sitting on a lily pad. Not sure if it helps but I thought I would share. Good luck!

I have not made them from gumpaste but I have made some little frog heads on a scrapbook page. For the head I used an oval and then put circle eyes on. Hopefully this will give you a bump so someone can give you some real help

I made a frog themed baby shower cake, (in my pics), they are really pretty easy. I made mine out of fondant. For the head and belly just roll two balls and kind of flatten to make more of a spread out oval shape. for the arms and feet just make little logs and shape, I used a veiner tool to make fingers and toes (to seperate), them kind of formed little balls on end of toes and fingers. Use a ball tool and make indentions where the arms and legs go and them make a glue out of fondant and warm water and attach. To make glue just break up a piece of fondant in little pieces and put a little bit of warm water and mix, smashing as you mix to form a paste. Then just let you frogs dry for several days before you make the cake. Hope this helps!
