a KitchenAid!!!!!! I'm so excited - I don't know how long it'll take to get here, but I hope it's not too long as my lovely 1960s Kenwood Chef broke on me
. RIP, it did 40 years of great service
. Anyhoo, the only bummer is that I couldn't get the red one I wanted, they were sold out and wouldn't be getting anymore in stock - so I went with the sunny yellow one instead. It's the Artisan KSM150 model, anyone else have one and what do you think of it? Oh, and it got it for E160 less than I could get it in the cheapest shop here - yay for me!
Don't want to throw cold water..but I had that one in REd and it made such a noise after 3-4 months that I had them replace it.They will replace up to a year for a new one..even send a UPS pick-up.So it's no cost to you to send back.Could not ask for more. They told me they were not making the red anymore. They sent me an ungrade in pearl white.I just love it.One thing..do not put the beaters in the dishwasher. They will turn color.I paid around 200.00 at Dilards with a rebate of 30.00 and a cupon for a free large bowl.So I thought that was a great deal.Enjoy
congrats on your new kitchenaid! bet you can't wait for it to arrive! ![]()

I've bought mine on Ebay from Germany, it cost E338, but they cost E499 in the shops here. It comes with the full warranty etc, so we'll just have to see - I don't know what the procedure would be if it went wrong, I'd just contact KitchenAid directly? If anyone knows, it'd be good to know!
Bonjovibabe-
You have to contact the seller you bought it from if there are any issues. (Did you get it from the seller who has a shop in Munich?) I researched it, too because I was going to buy one over here, but I quickly found out that the KA service isn't nearly as good here as it is in the US--if there are issues you can't contact KA directly, you have to contact the seller, then they contact KA, etc. The staff aren't nearly as knowledgeable, either. Hopefully that will improve, though. They are afterall fairly new on the scene over here.
I was looking at them on Ebay.de, too, but I just can't justify spending that much for the "wimpy" one when I can get the Pro6 for LESS than that at home...what a malicious circle, lol. And that's so sad because ebay has the best prices here--the shops are much more expensive.
Yay you for getting a good deal!
Another concern for me was that after contacting Kitchen Aid, I found out that their service in Europe is not nearly as good as the service in the US. A lot of the things that are free in the US are charged a fee over here, which isn't good if something goes wrong
But, hopefully you won't have any problems. ![]()
Please update us after you get it! (It shouldn't take long to get...I ordered a sewing machine from NL and had it in 2 days
