Dear friends:
I am excited and nervous about my new journey in cake baking and decorating. I was just hired to make a birthday cake. This is my first paying cake job. icon_surprised.gif

I took the ladies advise the other day about giving a few cakes for free at different places and it has paid off. I thank you guys. BUT NOW I FREAKING OUT. Do you guys think I will be okay? It sounds so silly of me to ask you but your support means the world to me because I know you are a honest group.

I don't know how I am decorating the cake yet. As soon as I make a diagram about it I will let you guys know.
Hugs to everyone.

You have just inspired me to follow in your footsteps and offer some businesses around here some cakes for free. Your cakes are great and you will do well. Just remember to always be upfront and honest about what you can and can't do and you'll go a long way!

What cakes did you give away?

Hi guys:
I want to thank each one of you for your support. I am always learning from you guys. You are such a great inspiration to me. I am addicted to this site.

I am trying to donate a cake per month to anyone who will enjoy it. It is usually places like church, school, etc. Just this past weekend I donated my "Earth Day Cake" to my grandson's school so he and the children could eat it. The only thing is that I don't use any kind of nut oil because someone may be allergic to it. If I donate the cake I don't make chocolate either. Some people cannot eat it.

Next month I will be donating a cake to a nursing home for mother's day. Next week someone already asked me to make them a cake. I am excited about given the opportunity to make cakes and get paid for it, even if is a little for now.

Hugs to all you.
Tina
