Hi everybody!! I would like to surprise my sister with a homemade cake for her baby shower. She has already told me she wants a garden and moon & stars theme. Does anybody have any ideas? I'd like to use fondant cut-outs but I'm open for anything. Thanks. icon_rolleyes.gif

I think a 2 tiered cake would be cute. You might be able to make a cute topper with the stars and moon. You could use heavy floral wire or lollipop sticks. I would decorated the tiers with pale green grass and flowers. Sounds like a beautiful cake. icon_smile.gif

I made a baby cake with stars on it. It's really easy. I just cut them out with a cookie cutter and then attached wilton lollipop sticks to them. You could make one of those fondant babies, but make the whole top of the cake look like grass and put the baby on top and then put beatiful flowers all around the baby. And then the stars and moon with be sticking up "shining" over the baby and the garden. So cute.

These sound like really great ideas. I would like to definitely use "grass" on the cake. Luckily, I have some time but once I start practicing, I will post the pictures. Thanks again!! icon_biggrin.gif
