Decorating By tiptop57 Updated 16 Apr 2007 , 11:14pm by moydear77
Hi eveyone, I have been working on this "Sacred Heart" sugar sculpture for two months. It is based on images from the Middle Ages. It will be entered in a 25th Annual Spiritual Arts Show which is a juried art show next Saturday to run for a month and is open to all denominations. Entries must be original works and must express a Christian thought or idea.
Except for a small structural support, floral wire and tape, this sculpture is 100% edible. It is made with gumpaste, fondant, royal icing and luster dust.
Please, please, if given from the heart, any honest and open feedback is extremely appreciated!
Absolutely gorgeous! Would never have thought that was your first sugar sculpture. Good luck!
Thank you everyone for your kind comments they are greatly appreciated.
"Moydear77 the leaves did have veins, but I used the corn husk mold so they are hard to see in the picture........and the lillies are my first, but will thin the edges on any new ones I create. I really, really appreciate your advice.
