Quick Fondant Question

Im covering the base of my cake today in Wilton fondant if i put it in the fridge is my fondant gonna crack?? I dont have time to make my own as i only had a few days notice on this cake.... plz help!!

no need to refrigerate- just wrap your cake board that you covered in fondant- with plastic wrap- it will be fine at room temperature

Not the cake board the cake!!! and i have to put it in the fridge because i have a strawberry cream filling in the middle... im pressed for time tomorrow so i really wanna cover it today just scared because if it cracks in the fridge i dont have time to repair it!

I cover cakes with fondant all the time and refridgerate. They will sweat only if it is humid.

I was told foundant cake are good for 2 days out of the fridge.
I did it and the cake was still delicious.
Foundant preserves the cake.
