Is there a tip that I could use that would pass as a tiny rose? I am making Derby cookies and I need to make tiny roses on the horses neck to symbolize the garland of roses.

If it's a stiff icing, I'd use a tiny star tip - pipe a small star, and then use a toothpick to to make a swirly in the center of it.

Tip 101s makes tiny roses when piped onto the end of a toothpick. If you don't want to pipe them, you could use a silicone mold and make them out of fondant.

I just tried that tip - it really does make little roses. Thanks for the tip!

I bet they don't sell 101s at HL or Michaels. I wonder if my local cake supply would have it. She doesn't sell Wilton brand tips though.

I think the numbers are kinda universal. All the brands should have 101's

I got my 101 at Hobby Lobby. It was it a kit, but I needed several of the tips and always like to have extras of the ones I use most often.

HL has a 40% coupon for next week--I think I'll just buy a kit--I can always use extras--good idea!

Is the tip just called "101" or is it called "101s". I can't tell if you guys are just using the plural or if there is a 101s tip.

I have 101 but maybe I need to get 101s?

There is a 101 tip and an 101s tip. The 101s tip is smaller than the 101 tip. You may have more trouble finding the 101s. I haven't seen it at Hobby Lobby, only at the cake decorating store.
