OK.. I made Chocolate Fondant for the first time tonight ... and something just isn't right. It is not pliable at all! Almost rolls out like store bought sugar cookie dough. Is there something I can do to fix this? Is there not enough sugar? Not enough Marshmallow? I'm at a loss.

Ug 10:40 PM EST and this cake is for NOON tomorrow icon_smile.gif Nothing like the last minute icon_smile.gif

Thanks in advance!

did you use the shortening to roll it? I also have to let mine sit out, covered, for a couple of hours before I can actually use it.

Did you use melted chocolate? That will cause it to be crumbly. Instead make a new batch and use about 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and gradually add powdered sugar until it's like a dense bread dough. You won't have to use all two pounds. Be sure to grease your hands with crisco a lot.
