Cake Mix Extender

If I want to use the cake mix extender for a 14" round cake pan, how many cake mixes do I use and then how many extender recipes?

two of each which for a 2"deep pan

will be about 12 cups of batter.

a 14" pan 2" deep takes 10 cups -- so there would have leftover for cupcakes.


3" deep takes 15 cups so would need 3 of each w/ about 3 cups of batter extra.
