Hello all. Please, please wish me luck today. I am headed in for eye surgery - they are going to laser off some scar tissue on my right eye.
I know everything should turn out just fine and I will probably see 10X better once I'm healed, but it still makes me NERVOUS!!
My stomach has been doing flip-flops all weekend.
as one how had to have lasix to finish off the his catarak implant surgery... the only thing's I noticed were:
1) wear warm clothes....they keep that laser room set at "freezing" imho.
2) your head will be lower than your feet....not comfortable to me
3) the smell is a bit nasty (burning hair)
BUT...the nurses pamper and coo-coo over you like your a cute little baby. (awwwwwwwww)
and they make you take a nap!! when you go home after surgery (YEAH!!!!)
and yes, you will see clearer the NEXT day and clearer each day after.
It was one of the BEST things I've done for my own health
(now if losing weight could be so simple, easy and have such great results)
You guys are great!! Thanks for the confidence boosters. Things went well...it was a little different procedure than lasik, but hopefully with the same results. Pain killers haven't worn off yet, so I'm still a little nervous about how it will feel, but I can already tell a little difference in the vision, which I think is amazing, since someone just finished scraping on my eye and then lasering it!!
Time to go take another nap.
Rhonda
PS. Doug - you were so right...that room was freezing! But I was prepared with my sweatshirt...thanks!!!! ![]()
