Ok need your advise I had a bride say she was going to use me for her wedding. I drew up the contract emailed it & everything. She lives about 5 hours away the groom & wedding are where I am located. The wedding is still a couple of months away. I told her I would need 30% down to hold the date. She said she would be in my town next month to go over the details. Since I sent the final contract I have not heard anything from her. She has my address on where to send the check & I have not recieved anything yet. It's been a few days so should I contact her or wait for a few more days. Thanks icon_confused.gif

If it's been at least a week, I would do a follow-up email to confirm she received the contract and a reminder that she is not considered booked until you have the contract and deposit. You know, one of those "Just a Friendly Reminder! icon_wink.gif " kind of email. And of course, keep a copy in your files.

It could be that she's simply waiting on a paycheck in order to send you the deposit.

I would send a friendly reminder. If she's like me, it's easy to forget, especially when you're planning something as big as a wedding.
