lemon juice will bleach some of the colour out - alternately you can scrub away with some exfoliating brush or similar to get rid of top layer of skin.

Wash like nobodies business. I had the same thing happen and I scubbed like crazy just to get it to fade. If you ever use it again apply with gloves on because it staines the hands bad (as you've probably noticed) Everyday it will fade a little more. Sorry, hope someone else pipes in with a better solution.

Thanks... The problem with my hands is that I did wear gloves and then when I put some on my hands I used a little makeup sponge and only put it on the tops of my fingers. So now you can see a line where my fingers change color from Orange to my normal color!

The only advice I have is to try the lemon juice above and scrub. Sorry this happened. It freaked me out when it happened to me too. I was in panic mode scrubbing like crazy.

By the way, have a safe trip and have fun visiting your daughter!

Yeah, use those exfoliating scrubber gloves - they work wonders.

Oh, and a bit of advice (not you because I obviously have never seen your feet), but if you're wearing sandles, make sure you paint toe nails and get rid of toe hairs. We used to have the best fun sitting on the beach making fun of tourists with fuzzy toes. (I know, it's mean, but sometimes you need to entertain yourself.)

Have fun in Hawaii.

I wanted to share my story about the tanning lotion!!!!
I think this is so funny!! Last year in April i was getting married and the girls and I wanted to be tan so I'm the only one that went to the tanning bed but after only maybe a week i had to stop going because I broke out all over my chest with Bumps like crazy. So my sister-in-lae got this bright idea for all of us to go buy this self tanning lotion at walmart and we all did.Man were we ever so excited about this stuff.Wellllllllllll,my sister-in-law goes and puts it on herslef first and OMG I never seen just a sight in my life she was orange all over her hands, chest and face.We used everything Bleach was the best and it took most of it off but it stained her hands, but in the long run we were beauitful the day of the wedding.

Good Luck

I know they say not to go swimming when you get the spray on tan at the tanning salon. So I would go swimming, lol.

Ooooh no! Swimming will change the colour again as the chlorine reacts with the chemicals in the dye!

I don't have a good idea to help get rid of it. But I want to suggest the mary kay suntan lotion. I have used it the last few years at the beginning of the season and I have not had any problems turning orange. It is a nice tan i get.

So sorry this happen to you.

Do you think I turned Orange because I have such a pale complexion??

I don't know but i'm pretty pale too. I typically burn the first few times during the summer (doesn't take much) then It fades and by the third time it eventually turns into a tan instead of just dissapearing. So I think we're in the same boat. But then again i'm not an expert on these things =(

I think you turned orange because of the product. What brand did you use? When I sunless tan, I use the Neutrogena and I make sure to get the foam, it seems to go on lighter with fewer streaks. Make sure you wash your hands immediately after use and don't let any water get on your "tanned" area for whatever amount of time it says. Also, put a towel over whatever chair you're sitting in. I always sit on the edge of my computer seat and don't let my legs touch anything until it's all dry. After the alotted amount of time, I shower. Don't forget to lightly cover the tops of your feet. Also, don't put it on thick all at once in order to get a deeper tan. Use it several times in order to get to the color you need.

Good luck. I think I would just do a couple of quick rounds at the tanning bed.

I use the stuff but only on my legs and feet. to keep from streaking and such sometimes I mix the lotion with regular body lotion it takes some of the strength away and will keep it from making the drier parts of your skin (like your knees) from absorbing more of the color and ending up darker.

After working with the stuff ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS. lol sometimes i forget and end up with darker skin between my fingers. icon_lol.gif

I say just wash them alot and perhaps use one of those nail cleaners to really scrub your hands. The color doesnt go down to the deeper layers of skin so it should fade rapidly.
