I've made this cake for a bridal shower. 8" round with sage green ribbon around the bottom and calla lilies on top. I think I'll have to tie the lilies with a bow so they won't look wierd placed on the cake. Is it too plain? I considered swiss dots on the side, but it seems as if they would be too dainty for the lilies.

I can't post a pic b'c my husband has the camera camping with my daughter!

From your discription (with bow) it sounds perfect. simple and elegant.

I think it sounds very nice as is. Sometimes, less is more and I think this sounds like one of those situations.

I agree with the others. It sounds simple and elegant - which is very different from plain. Post a photo if you get the chance ( I was without my camera for about two weeks and almost died).

I think your plan (with the bow around the flowers) sounds perfect. I LOVE Calla Lilies and they SCREAM simplicity. No swiss dots please!

thanks for the confirmation everyone. I left it as is. This is only the 2nd cake I have done for someone other than family so it is a bit unnerving, especially without my artistic husband's opinion! I asked her to send me picture since I couldn't take one. I'll post it when I get it.
