i just made a couple of basic plain templates for cakes on my computer, and they are so fun to play with. my printer is broken at the moment, so i just played with the paint program, but i think this could get addictive for testing ideas icon_lol.gif . here is the template i used, and what i made.

tell us more about how you did this...... please.

For the computer dummies like me, keep it simple.

I often have such wonderful images in my head and then when they come together look just awful... this would probably help me... as if I could see it somewhere other than my head (which must have vision trouble) I might see the problems and be able to fix them well before the cake is put together and past the tooooo late stage if you know what I mean.

all I did was make an outline using a paint program, drawing ovals to make it look like a 3d cake. i then saved those so i'll always have blank canvases to draw on, and they can even be printed if i want.
then i just opened up whichever template i wanted in the paint program that windows comes with (you can use whichever drawing program you like) and used the fill and draw tools to color it in. for the flowers, i searched in google (in this case 'flowers purple') and found an image i liked. i saved that on my computer, and opened it to edit it.
making the flowers smaller and such is kind of weird to explain, but its just a lot of cutting and pasting and shrinking. it was really quite fun! if you want more info on how to do the flowers, just let me know and i'll try to make more sense icon_razz.gif

Thanks a lot for this lasidus1. This is such a great site. Now I want to take some computer classes or at least get some self-teaching books. Also, I want to take up sculpting now. So little time. Oh, what is a girl to do??!!
