How about sitting on top of a stack of "cookie boxes"

Oh- Or you could make it look like a huge Thin mint (those are my favorite!)

I don't know much about brownies, but may something like a sheet cake with the sash piped across it and put on the brownie patches they earn(maybe out of fondant). icon_rolleyes.gif

Being a Girl Scout leader for the past 7 years... I would have loved a cake with A couple of brownie Girl Scouts holding hands, embellish the sash / vest with Girl Scout insignia... And you could add the words to the Brownie song...

Brownie Smile Song

I've got something in my pocket,
That belongs across my face,
I keep it very close at hand,
In a most convenient place.
I'm sure you couldn't guess it,
If you guessed a long long while.
So I'll take it out and put it on,
It's a great big brownie smile.

Or you could put the words that every Girl Scout knows...

Make new friends
but keep the old
one is silver
and the other gold

is it just and end of the year party or are they Bridging to Junior Girl Scouts? If bridging, definitely put a rainbow in the design.

Troops usually only have their own badge when they become Juniors or Cadettes or Seniors. Just and FYI on that.
You can pm if you need any ideas.

Sorry for the long post...Can ya tell I love being a Girl Scout Leader!

And here I was sooo glad I forgot the words....lol
Both of my girls were girl scouts too and they loved it, but we've been out of the loop for a year. I may use the friends song, that's good. It's not bridging, just the end of year thing for one troop.

If you check out the Girl Guide catalogue ,
http://www.girlguides.ca/media/catalogue/pdfs/GuCat0607_brownies.pdf, they have the Brownie story, involving an owl, a toadstool and a pond. I just had to check it out - I was in Brownies ages and ages ago... icon_lol.gif

I couldn't remember the brownie smile song, but once I started reading, it came back to me immediatley! That is scary! It has been YEARS since I was a brownie. WOW! Talk about a trip down memory lane.

My best memories of being a GS is camping. I love the thought of a couple of girls around a camp fire in their vest. Maybe a few GS cookie boxes sitting outside of a tent. This would be a fun cake!

No matter what you do, they will LOVE it!

They (girl scouts) have these really cute girls of different heritages that they use on a lot of merchandise for the brownie level. I think there are five of them and they are holding hands. They would be really cute as a transfer, or making them out of fondant.
Go to this site and search for apparel for brownies.

BTW did you know that the Make New Friends song has more verses? It didn't when I was a scout but now it has like 5 verses! We sing three verses at the end of our meetings.

A circle's round
It has no end
That's how long
I want to be your friend

I have a hand
And you have another
Put them together and
we have each other

I knew the 2nd verse but not the third. I loved it when we sang that song as a round. So pretty!

Did you know?

Brownies are part of Scottish folklore and the Girl Scout brownie pin reflects it too.

my "girls" wouldn't let us end the meeting unless we did at least those three verses of Make New Friends. We never learned the last two.

Also look at the brownie design and the Girl Scout logo. Just as an added embellishment.

For a few less words, I remember these from when I was a leader:

North South East West
Brownie Girl Scouts are the best!
...
Twist me and turn me and show me the elf
I looked in the water and saw myself!

The brownie pin with the little elf in the middle comes to mind for me; but maybe it's too simple for what you want to do.

I love that sash cake somebody did! I also like the idea of doing one or more of the "try it" badges they have earned.
