Hello S.C
I just read a post on baking911 where you stated that you live in Canada and buy Hi-Ratio shortening from Bulk Barn but you also said you use ALPINE Hi-Ratio shortening. Are they one and the same?? When I visit my MIL in Canada I buy Hi-Ratio at Bulk Barn and I love to use it for my Icing, but I would like to buy the SAME product either retail or online from here in the US. I have even debated buying the 20KG from BB next time I visit (LOL!!).

Please let me know if ALPINE is the same as what is sold at Bulk Barn? Th My e-mail address is [email protected] or PM me.

Thank you!

I am pretty sure Alpine and the Bulk Barn High ratio shortening are the same if not similar. I have never tried Alpine but on all the threads I've read say that Alpine is a good high ratio shortening.
