Hello everyone, I have made the carrot pineapple cake posted in the recipes, but am curious to find out whether I should soak it with simple syrup....what do you all think? Thanks!

I love using these syrups...I think it would only make it more moist!

Sounds good! icon_smile.gif

Hi,
I made 2 of this cake. 1 yesterday (too much liquid from the carrots) and 1 today (perfect). Both are very moist and the scraps taste great.
Good luck and have fun.

My aallll time favorite carrot cake is from Maverick's restaurant, and they soak theirs with a simple syrup that has orange juice (I'm sure) and some sort of liquer (I think, Grand Marnier?) added. That stuff doesn't even NEED icing it's so good! mmmm, gonna have to see if I can get that recipe...

Pulling my first ever cd all nighter,
Bekah
