i have to deliver a wedding cake tomorrow and the bride said she's going to have flowers there that i can put in the cake along with a cake topper... i'm not sure what flowers they are or if they're real or fake but do i just stick them into the cake? or lay them on top? i've never done this before and was just wondering... thanks.

i woulnd't put real flowers into the cake. use flowers picks if you do that, or just lay them on top

Bring along some drinking straws. You can insert the stem into that, cut it off a little longer, and stick that into cake. Assuming, of course, that the flowers are something non toxic like roses.

even roses can have issues if they have been treated with a preservative

I would say do everything you can to keep parts of the roses/flowers from having actual contact with the cake, i.e. covering the stems as suggested above.
