Wet it with simple syrup.
What size is it?
Basic recipe is:
2 cups of water
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla
Boil water. Add sugar. Stir until it dissolves. Let it boil for another at medium high heat for about 10 minutes. Turn off heat and let it get lukewarm or cold. Then add the vanilla.
Brush or spray on the cake. Press down gently with your finger to see how moist it is getting. When you are satisfied, then stop soaking it.
Wait 5 minutes and then fill and ice your cake.
