Hi,
i had just a funniest order yesterday. She wants a big cake Not tall. square. I was showing her some beautiful cakes from the books and explaning and she liked nothing because she wants a christeing cake with thomas the tank engine icon_cry.gif OMG! I was so exited and now i want to cry. Any ideas how to turn Thomas the tank engine into a christening cake?
I use fondant so i thought i will just make a plain square fondant covered cake make (fondant figures)thomas on top and also railroad with waggons filled with candy and mashmallows. The only thing i thought that would make it a little christenig syle is to make a little church on the cake as well...

What do you think and please any ideas would help a lot!
Thanks,
Liis

oh my, that is a tough one. Maybe on Thomas you can put a cross on the side of the train. like you said putting a little church would work too. Good luck in whatever you come up with.

Thomas the tank engine always tows a carriage, maybe you could make the cake Thomas the tank engine and a baby asleep in the next carriage with a bible and cross. (could look sweet) Good luck!!

Wow...that is really strange! The only thing I can think of is to use light blue and white frosting....Thomas pulling a sleeping baby. I am not sure if I would add a cross or not. It just seems like the cross and Thomas really do not go together.

I really don't know where people come up with these ideas...anyway, I can't wait to see what the end result is! icon_smile.gif

I like the idea of Thomas pulling a sleeping baby.

I was picturing a church with the doors open and train tracks coming out of it and Thomas on the tracks (maybe pulling the sleeping baby?). Good luck, can't wait to see what you come up with.

thanks so much for the ideas! i still have time to collect ideas and think about it because the cakes is due in may.

The reason why she wants thomas i believe is that the baby is not really a baby anymore 1 1/2. oh, but still thomas could have been for his birthday not for his christening ...
