Attaching Dragees To Buttercream

I've searched the forums but can't find a post that fits my circumstances. I need to attach dragees to buttercream. Do I use icing or piping gel?
My biggest question, though, is how do I attach the darn things if I've already rolled them around in silver luster dust to color them?! I had a moment and didn't think about the dust keeping the dragee from sticking to the icing, and since I had to order pearl colored ones and color them myself (due to shipping restrictions), I colored the whole darn bag already.
The cake is due tomorrow.. HELP!!
