Duff & Mary Made Me Feel Great Last Night!!!

If anyone watched Ace of Cakes last night; Mary was really having trouble with that turtle cake!! The arm kept coming off and tearing the fondant, it started to lean; she had to do that cake 3 times before they got it right!! (when she started to cry, I sooooo felt her pain)


What made me feel good was that even though they are professionals, they still have their "disasters" and I shouldn't feel so bad when my friggin smooth cake gets a crack down the middle of the buttercream as I'm picking it up or I can't get my fondant as smooth as I want or staying up all night long when you're totally exhausted!!

Thanks Duff for showing us the human side of this business and letting us know that everything doesn't come out perfect!!! thumbs_up.gif

Amen to that...>Why do we always have to assume professionals never mess up or have bad days....It made me feel good..(bad for them) that I actually could SEE their hard time...Now I know they are human !!!! icon_smile.gif

I wanted to do my own little chant and sage burning with my kids. They didn't go for it. icon_twisted.gif

For my birthday in June, I asked for the Season of Ace of Cakes. icon_biggrin.gif

Oh and the pink silicone rolling pin like Bronwens.

Didn't you just love that rolling pin!!! I love anything pink..just got a pink can opener due to the fact some of the money went to breast cancer foundation...but still it was PINK icon_biggrin.gif
