I have seen many beautiful items on CC that are made w/ith chocolate clay. I would like to make some flowers using it but have a couple of questions first. If any one has any imput I would really appreciate it.
1. It chocolate clay easy to make?
2. Does it have to set like MMF before you can use it?
3. Does the clay harden like foundant?
4. Can you paint it? If so do you paint it before or after it dries?

the clay is easy to make one bag of candy melts 14 oz and 1/3 cup corn syrup. melt on low (or for short periods of time like 15 seconds and then stir in the microwave) when melted add the corn syrup.
I think it would be very good to cover a cake with it but have never tried it.
It needs to rest over night. Wrapped in seran wrap or something. Then just need it out. I have not dusted them. Never thought of it realy It does get stiff but not hard realy. I used it to make the lingere cake the undies , bra and the rim on the box. maybe someone else has a suggestion on the painting
